    Bought this because of the low price..big mistake. the telephoto and wide angle both cut off at the edges and I can’t get a decent sharp imagine from the wide lens. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong but I doubt it since I’ve been using Lumix cameras for 10 years now. I guess you get what you pay for but I can’t imagine that Panasonic would endorse this product.

    Have been experimenting more with this product and it’s not as bad as I originally thought. There is cut off at the edges so you have to zoom in a little but for the price it is worth having and I have decided to keep the lenses.

    Despite the packaging labels, this product is not manufactured by Panasonic (however the lens adapter is the actual one made by Panasonic for this camera). The wide angle lens vignettes at the widest setting on the LX5 — I had to zoom in so much to remove the vignetting that I lost all the extra wide angle I would have gained i.e. useless. I didn’t notice the 2x telephoto adding very much either.
    The product and quality itself seems fine, but it really doesn’t work well for this camera. Panasonic makes a 0.75X wide angle lens for this camera (~$175) that I assume would not vignette.
