good but not perfect,
I was looking for a tripod that was small enough to toss into my backpack or lash it to the bottom using some straps for hiking and travel. The travel angel was the smallest tripod that I found to fit my needs in my price range. I have a nikon d700 and shoot with f2.8 lenses. The ball head is responsive and holds well. My only issue is that It looked like the bottom of the tripod would allow for panning to do panoramas which it does not do. Not a major issue but something of a surprise. The other issue I have is that the tripod is allowed to open to 2 different positions. The more routine and higher position is pretty narrow for a footbed and I don’t think is wide enough to trust to be stable in windy conditions. I am making the comparison to a manfrotto 190xbpro. Having said that, it is small which I was looking for and easy to setup.
