    This is really a good package and a very good deal put together by a brick-and-mortar camera store, Cameta Camera. The Contour+ is really a great camera, may be the best in its category.

    Video quality is great, don’t be fooled by the somewhat grainy picture you see in the view finder app. This view finder video is sent over a low bandwidth Bluetooth connection to your phone, and they probably are to taking the resolution way down in order to make sure it fits the bandwidth. But once you shoot a video and then review you it on your PC, you’ll see the real impressive HD resolution.

    Heads up, Bluetooth on the Contour still remains annoying. They haven’t got all the kinks out yet. So, when it disconnects abruptly, and you can’t seem to hold a Bluetooth connection long enough for you to use the view finder app and adjust your frame, simply turn the camera off then on. Also, consider, powering your phone off then on. I know it is not convenient, but I have had at least one instance where the iPhone was to blame, and power cycling it like that fixed the problem. Bluetooth generally is CRAPPY. I have never seen a vendor implementation of it that didn’t have stability issues. I reported the issue to Contour, and hope a newer firmware would make things better.

    Still, you should not be discouraged from buying this. I have done my research, and the Contour+ is far ahead of its competition — namely GoPro and Drift Innovations.

    The package here was put together by some smart people. The extras they included are sensible, and it is all for a very compelling price. If I were to put together the camera with all the extras, it would cost me more than the price of this package, so we’re getting a nice discount. At a time when some greedy merchants are taking advantage of the newness of the Contour+ and adding a mark up to its MSRP, it is refreshing to see a merchant actually working harder to give better value to its customers.
