The Konica Minolta DiMAGE Z10 instantly reminded me of the Fuji FinePix S7000, S5000 and S20 Pro camera that I discussed earlier, with a great goal and grip canon, who dominate the whole design of the device. The Konica Minolta Z10 is much more modern, almost futuristic cameras, with a bright silver, not yet great goal and flash gun. The body is entirely made of a plastic that does not feel like the most durable in the world – I think this is an area where corners were cut to keep prices as low as it is. Grippier a sort of dark gray plastic, was added to both the left and right sides of the body, where it is concluded that, of course, ensure that you can get a good control over what is an excellent camera in terms of size and weight.
On the back of the camera is the 1.5-inch LCD screen, which seems a little less than what it actually is because of the large size of the device, and the generous size, with diopter electronic viewfinder control. Konica Minolta have proposed a solution to change the LCD and EVF. Instead of having both at the same time and thus losing the essence of the life of the battery, the camera only allows you to select one way or another through the switch to back. Selecting the LCD screen, a dark slide cover on the EVF physically and choose EVF, the cover slides on the LCD screen. This system has a little help to the first and is certainly another way to get the prices down – in other devices like the Konica Minolta DiMAGE 5, the passage between the EVF and the LCD is activated by control eyes, but obviously this is too complex and too expensive to implement in the Z10. However, the darkness shall cover system works very well and after a while you will not see it when switching from, say, EVF and return to play again.
